Wanderlust
I have a problem… As soon as I return from a trip, I feel like it never happened. I spent nearly a month on the best adventure of my life thus far, doing things along the like of this….
(the stars, not the beach)
and now I feel like it happened in the blink of an eye.
I am trying very hard to accept the reality, that my life probably can’t be one vacation after another,...

Congruency
Once upon a time, I knew the wisest man I ever met, Dr. Surette.
Ralph is a man I will never forget. Not only is his character and compassion top notch, but his advice is the best I will ever receive.
Dr. Surette was a preacher of congruency, finding the harmony of perfect balance in your life to be happy, no matter what.
As of late, this has been my standing ground, doing things that truly...
San Francisco....
I’m here ! I’m SO excited to be relaxing and not having any agenda to worry about until I am headed back to Chicago on Sunday.
Of course, spending time with my family for the Thanksgiving Holiday will be fabulous !
I am thankful for all the new experiences I have had over the last year and excited about the new ones to come ! Moving to a new city was very hard in the...

Fashion Rut
Every now and again, I begin to hate everything in my closet. In actuality, it is a perpetual cycle of feeling like I have nothing to wear.
It is hard after all to dress for a day at school.
I think it would just be easier if i could dress like this every day…..seriously easier…..Bold is always better after all.
Bring on the leather, fur and lengthy skirts.
Out in the Open
Whether its gorgeous wood beams, expansive windows, killer heels or exposed dishes, sometimes it is okay to reveal it all.
Drama Queen
Imagine this room, in the dead of winter with a light snowfall…Bliss.
So many fabulous elements in this room. Ceiling, walls, table, french doors. Not sure about the lighting fixtures though….
The power of purple…love it.
These walls are the same as my bedroom in Rhode Island. MY fave! The couch and artwork above it could use some beefing up though.
These are...
Sweet Dreams
My current bedroom is really lack luster. These cozy boudoirs are anything but….
Oh how I would like to be able to cut and paste one of them into my apartment. Of course, I am positive my bedroom would have much more curb appeal if I was not just a lowly renter. I’m desperately desiring a deep wall color, a fireplace, a head board or canopy bed, and rich darkening curtains.
Oh and a...

Set Up Camp
Right now, I’m longing for an escape. Just to pack up with a dear friend and a gourmet picnic basket and head for the silence of the wilderness. There would be no pressure to talk to to one another, just merely soak up the fresh air and the stars.
Here looks like a good place to forgot the things that won’t matter in a matter of time.
Secret Supper
Last night, MMT and I anxiously headed to Southport Grocery for their special monthly event, Secret Supper! The premise behind Secret Supper is that the breakfast and brunch cafe opens their doors for an exclusive dinner, 2 nights a month. Their chef sources the seasonal ingredients for the evening locally and the pre fixe menu is a secret until guests arrive. In other words it is “an...
Animal Instincts
If you ever find yourself with a spare set of antlers, a zebra hide, or taxidermic animal, consider these chic decorative alternatives.
Or, Perhaps, a wallpaper is more your speed!

Friday Tradition
Shortly after my college graduation, I was given a elegant pair of wine glasses. The sentiment behind them was that every Friday night I find something to celebrate, either alone or with a special friend.
So it has become tradition that on Friday, I break out those glasses and cheers to something from the past week, whether big or small.
I hope you will join me in celebrating the mini...
Outdoor Envy
There are not many spaces more enviable than one in the great outdoors. Year round outdoor spaces make me even more lustful. With proper layering and a roaring fire I suppose any outdoor space could be a year round escape, no matter what your
climate zone.

Kitchens I Could Cook In
I think a stellar kitchen could be just an enough inspiration to convince even the least domesticated chef, that culinary masterpieces are possible. Lucky for me, I love to cook no matter if my countertops are linoleum or marble.
Cooking ALWAYS makes me happy. However simple or complicated my cooking endeavor may be, I always feel a sense of satisfaction as I sit down to something I have made...

PreVamp & ReVamp
Here’s a little sneak peak into my one month old Chicago Apartment. She is a work in progress, constantly updating her wish list. Also this serves as a virtual visit as none of my friends or family have booked a real live visit yet.

My empty little lady…how terribly yellow she appears.
Her current status…..

Need to Be Here Now
http://www.duntonhotsprings.com/
Everything about this place is exactly what I’m seeking. You know, mediocre to good campfire food , decent outhouses, and minimal snow fall. HA this place is pure bliss. Decadent food and wine ( a winery on the property), a top notch spa, private hot springs, and mountains and mountains of pristine snow! That’s really not evening mentioning 1/16 of...
