I have a problem… As soon as I return from a trip, I feel like it never happened. I spent nearly a month on the best adventure of my life thus far, doing things along the like of this….

(the stars, not the beach)

and now I feel like it happened in the blink of an eye.

I am trying very hard to accept the reality, that my life probably can’t be one vacation after another, but it is VERY hard!

Thus, I’m off to scheming my next escapade…

Skiing for my Birthday.

Vienna to visit Rob.

The Azores to live the dream.

and Sierra Leon to get a whole new perspective on what it means to be a clinician.

Here’s to making these adventures happen in 2012 and always scheming.

Once upon a time, I knew the wisest man I ever met, Dr. Surette.

Ralph is a man I will never forget. Not only is his character and compassion top notch, but his advice is the best I will ever receive.

Dr. Surette was a preacher of congruency, finding the harmony of perfect balance in your life to be happy, no matter what.

As of late, this has been my standing ground, doing things that truly making me happy and bring congruence to my life.

Sometimes you need a little shaking to remember not everything obvious brings congruence to your life.

Cheers to you Dr. Surette, and knowing exactly what congruence means.

My only wish is that you were an everyday influence in my life.

I’m here ! I’m SO excited to be relaxing and not having any agenda to worry about until I am headed back to Chicago on Sunday.

Of course, spending time with my family for the Thanksgiving Holiday will be fabulous !

I am thankful for all the new experiences I have had over the last year and excited about the new ones to come ! Moving to a new city was very hard in the beginning but I am finally feeling happy to have made such a leap !

Wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving with lots of yummy food, laughs and love !! XX

I could eat this salad absolutely everyday. It is totally worth the effort of extracting the pomegranate it seeds. Nothing is better !

Spinach

A whole lotta Pomegranate seeds

Blood oranges and or Naval oranges, both the juice and segments are needed

Grapefruit, Segments and juice once again

Avocado, Lightly salted

The Dressing: Reserved juices (usually from half the fruit, depends on your ambition and hunger), olive oil, salt and pepper, honey, and diced Red onion (again, if you’re ambitious)

Assemble and YUM! SUPER super foods !!!

Every now and again, I begin to hate everything in my closet. In actuality, it is a perpetual cycle of feeling like I have nothing to wear.

It is hard after all to dress for a day at school.

I think it would just be easier if i could dress like this every day…..seriously easier…..Bold is always better after all.

Bring on the leather, fur and lengthy skirts.

Imagine this room, in the dead of winter with a light snowfall…Bliss.

So many fabulous elements in this room. Ceiling, walls, table, french doors. Not sure about the lighting fixtures though….

The power of purple…love it.

These walls are the same as my bedroom in Rhode Island. MY fave! The couch and artwork above it could use some beefing up though.

These are the perfect dining chairs for avoiding eye contact with another guest your recognize.

Adore the Couch in the kitchen !

My current bedroom is really lack luster. These cozy boudoirs are anything but….

Oh how I would like to be able to cut and paste one of them into my apartment. Of course, I am positive my bedroom would have much more curb appeal if I was not just a lowly renter. I’m desperately desiring a deep wall color, a fireplace, a head board or canopy bed, and rich darkening curtains.

Oh and a maid to make my bed to perfection everyday. Like the boy I babysit for inquired, “Do you have an Olga too” ? No Will, If I had an “Olga” I would not be here with you right now. I like you, but not enough.

Perhaps, this will be my weekend project.

Perhaps, Just in my dreams.

Right now, I’m longing for an escape. Just to pack up with a dear friend and a gourmet picnic basket and head for the silence of the wilderness. There would be no pressure to talk to to one another, just merely soak up the fresh air and the stars.

Here looks like a good place to forgot the things that won’t matter in a matter of time.
